twilight?

In my ample amounts of free time, I've started reading for fun. I forgot how enjoyable that is! I've already finished DaVinci code (good, but would have been better if I hadn't already seen the movie) and now I have moved on to the Twilight series. I'm about half way through the first book, and its.....weird? I guess because everyone one went crazy over it I was expected shear awesomeness, and its good, but...I'm a little dissapointed, honestly. Do they get better? Liz and Gwen, I know you have read them. Which one is the best?

Also, any other book suggestions?
