free movies!

On Thursday my parents' TiVo told me that we were getting a "sneak preview" of HBO, Starz (ew, that pains me to type. I HATE when people use a "z" as an "s"), and Showtime for this weekend only (and we were out of town at MaryBeth's this weekend), so needless to say, since I've been back I have been a movie watching FIEND.

I finally watched "The Jane Austen Book Club" and man, I was having so many flashbacks from Karen's class last summer, it was excellent. You guys should definitely see it-- its really different, and cute. Emily Blunt ("Emily" the redhead from Devil Wears Prada) and Hugh Dancy and the girl from Private Practice/Judging Amy and that girl from Thank You for Smoking and the girl that gets taken from Taken are all in it. Really cute.

Other movie I saw that I really liked was "In the Land of Women." I want you guys to see it (look it up online and watch it if you're bored one day...) because I wonder if you would like it/your thoughts on it. I thought it was soooo interesting and different. Kind of random. Not really much of a plot, but just a little glimpse at a few interesting people. It has Adam Brody (love of my life), Kristin Stewart (Bella in Twilight-- a lot less annoying in this movie, and actually better acting), and Meg Ryan in it. Very interesting.

Our weekend at Mary Beth's was nice- it was quick, but she loved the dogs, and it was excellent to see her. She's moving to Houston in a month and the house she's moving into there is SAWEET. Its a long drive, but I can't wait to visit her there because I've never really been to Texas and its super close to the beach. Mom and I got manicure/pedicures, which was wonderful at the time, but of course my fingernails are already chipping and my left big toe hurts like hell, so I think she screwed up the cuticle or something. Whatever, wearing heels to work everyday certainly doesn't help it either...

On Monday, we started painting my room at home to turn it into a "guest room." Its icey blue colored and BEAUTIFUL. I loooooove painting--plus it was a great workout apparently because I am still sore from it.

We should be getting keys soon...I've been tutoring like crazy lately, so the money just keeps pouring in. Ha. Cristin and I are getting our "joint checking account" today from Bank of America and it makes me feel weird, like we're married or something. What else is new? I'm working all day on Thursday, which I've never done before, so that might be kind of weird. I think if we get the keys today or tomorrow, Cristin and I are going to paint our house this weekend...I'm painting my room green (and I have blue sheets...I am so predictable, its ridiculous)-- the paint color is called "Tranquil Green Tea". Cristin's painting hers blue...and we're thinking maybe a light ballerina pink for our bathroom-- the tile is white, and we're thinking light pink walls, black and white (or brown and white) shower curtain-- kind of similar to the downstairs womens restroom at Midtown.

I've been driving my dad's truck lately because he's "fixing" my honda (slash its been sitting in his shop for like 2 weeks, granted we were out of town last weekend and the weekend before that we didn't have power...). Anyway, his truck keeps going dead WHILE I'M DRIVING IT. So thats not fun. Because then it looses power steering and I have to use all my might to turn it into the closest parking lot so that I can park it and restart it. Bleh. I will be glad to have my little Honda back...

hmm...thats all for now. Nothing really big or crazy going on. Molls, have an amazing birthday! You are 21 TOMORROW! crazy crazy! Def. give me a good review of weekend events, because I love hearing 21st birthday stories (though I'm not sure you will be able to top Mal's). Don't let those old people be to boring-- I will lecture Luke to take care of you too. Just remember not to let go of too much information (like, I don't know, what the engagment ring looks like, or something crazy like that-- who would do that?).

I love you guys! Gwendolyn don't be too bummed about being the only underage one, because yours is right around the corner!
