So I made it to Cincy! The drive up was pretty good--it rained a little in TN, but after that it was sunny. I listened to a lot of Format (thanks Lizard) talked to Molly (thanks molly) and saw a semi with Puss 'n boots from Shrek (thought of you, Quinn). I got into the city about 4:30 and had to wait outside for thirty minutes before I could check in.
You will be comforted to know that its not just GT housing that is completely inefficient and impossible to work with...Xavier Housing is just as bad. I waited in line for a really long time to get my key, and aftergetting out one load of stuff locked myself out of my room. This required me going back down to the housing office and admitting shamefully that I needed to be let in. Oh well....at least they know me at the housing office now.
My boss's coworked offered to take me and another intern to dinner, but I ended up taking FOREVER to unpack everything and just going to get KFC with one of my roommates, Katie. Here's the roommate situation so far:
Melissa: Just finished her first year, from Univeristy of Miami, originially from Columbia. She was in band (yes!) so we have a little in common. She's the one I share a bathroom with, and I think we will get along really well.
Katie: The one I went to dinner with. She goes to Iowa Univeristy and is from Iowa, I think. Her major is Business, Finance, and Math. She's pretty nice and probably the quietest one of the four of us.
Ashley: Also from Iowa University (she's friends with Katie) and the same major as Katie. She's in Alpha Chi and definitely fits the AXO stereotype...I really like her. Both Katie and Ashley work downtown.
So as of right now I am sitting in my almost completley unpacked room typing and feeling exhausted. Its only 9:30pm but I think I am going to go to bed soon...judge me if you want. Tomorrow I have training all day and then I need to go buy some hooks for my room. I just realized that I have tons of pictures of highschool friends, but none of you guys :( I think I am going to put my Europe pictures over the highschool ones because I love you guys more than them, obviously. :)
...I just reread this and realized how unexciting this entry is...sorry about that....
Love you all!
Shlell
